As we reach the summer of 2016, we also get to listen to lots of fresh new Music. I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the new Music that I am currently listening to. As you can tell from the artists mentioned in the headline of this post, it is quite a mix indeed!
The first artist mentioned is ex Westlifer Nicky Byrne and his proposed Eurovision song contest entry ‘Sunlight’. Unfortunately, the song did not enter the contest but it still caught my attention. It is an upbeat, happy summer song that automatically lifts your spirits once you listen to it. It is a treat to hear Nicky’s vocals on an entire song (original Westlife fans will know what I mean!). Have a listen to the song below:

My most recent piano solo is of a Bollywood song which is about 3 years old, but was extremely popular when it released and is still a favourite of many, even today. The song is ‘Sun Raha Hai’ from the Bollywood movie ‘Aashiqui 2’.
Anyone who knows me personally, will know how much I loved the entire soundtrack of ‘Aashiqui 2’. This album came at a time when the Bollywood music industry had been deprived of contemporary love songs. The ‘Aashiqui 2’ soundtrack almost changed everything, and the romantic Bollywood genre, revived itself.
I have already learned to play the soundtracks most popular song of all ‘Tum Hi Ho’ when it released and I also got lucky, and was able to perform the song at my cousin sisters wedding back in 2013 (my first ever public performance!). Learning ‘Sun Raha Hai’ has been a different experience altogether, as I learned without any sheet music thus once again (right hand melody only), improving my skill of ‘playing by ear’. The song is the debut composition of Ankit Tiwari and will always remain my favourite composition of his.
Enjoy my piano solo of ‘Sun Raha Hai’. Feedback is always welcome!
