My favourite Golden Oldie song: Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden

Its that time where I share my favourite golden oldie song of the month! This month, I have chosen a Western song which is most probably, one of my favourite love songs of all time. It is Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden.

Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden

This song was hugely popular while I was growing up in the late 90’s, and has a beautiful melody plus lyrics, which have been composed by Savage Garden. Lead singer Darren Hayes croons the track, and it is definitely one of those songs, which you will hear every Valentine’s day!

Let me know if this track features in your favourites list too!

Life Update: When I interviewed SANAM!

It has been a rather special week in my online life, as I finally had the chance to interview my favourite band from India: SANAM!

I had been wanting to interview them for a really long time (at least since the past 2 years), but struggled to find their contact, until I managed to connect with their management team who made everything possible!

As a Music lover and someone who appreciates new Music talent, it has been a dream come true for me to interview the band, and feature them in my Music Talk series (of interviews) at The feedback for the interview has been overwhelming, and I am so grateful to be blessed with Music in my life, as it continues to play a hugely important role for me, every single day. A huge thank you to all the lovely SANAM fans who left such lovely comments at end of my interview! 😀

New Music Monday: Itni Door by SANAM

This week’s new Music Monday, features the latest release from my favourite Indie band, the fantastic four: SANAM. They have released one of their original compositions called Itni Door (pronounced as dur).

This latest release, from the band further enforces their status as a “boy band” (as they would be called in the West) with heaps of Musical talent, and the song accompanying video reflects this vibe too. The boys are seen in their most loved romantic avatar in the video, as Itni Door is a heartbreak song, providing all the right kind of emotions that one feels when listening to a SANAM original! I personally enjoyed the video, and like the song a lot too. It is wonderful to see the band releasing their own material while taking breaks from their renditions.

Enjoy their latest release Itni Door below, and let me know if you enjoyed this #SANAMOriginal composition too!

New Music Monday: Rishabh Srivastava

This weeks new Music Monday releases, are both from artist Rishabh Srivastava. I have shared Rishabh’s songs at the blog before, and it is always a pleasure for me to share his latest releases.

The first release is the single Aadat Nahin Hai Tum Bin with Zee Music Company. Zee Music had initially released the female version of this single with Jyotica Tangri on the vocals, and now they have released Rishabh’s version which is a treat to the ears! The song has a strong melody with meaningful lyrics which make it a treat to listen to.

My live Music experiences part 2: Bollywood Music

Continuing part 2 of My live Music experiences. Part 1 can be read here.

The very first Bollywood Music concert that I attended was to see Adnan Sami perform at the Wembley Pavillions in 2005. The concert was held in the make-shift pavillions arena, as Wembley arena was being refurbished at the time. Adnan was being supported by then upcoming singer Shreya Ghoshal. Shreya sang on her own and performed her hit songs from Devdas and Jism. She could have done with a better sound check, as her voice tended to sound screechy when it came to the higher notes. I remember being disappointed with audience members who chose to get up and walk around/talk during Shreya’s performance. Clearly, that would not happen at her own concerts now! When Adnan arrived on stage, he performed all of his hit songs from the Tera Chehra album, and he also gave a James Brown tribute. However, his attitude and tone of voice when talking to the audience, was rather disappointing.
