It has been a while since I have done a mini musical series at Girl at the Piano (my last being the 3 part series of my favourite cover songs), and as I am yet to talk about the retro songs of Bollywood music, I had the wonderful idea of converting this into a mini series where I share my top 5 favourite songs from each decade from the 60’s through to the 90’s.
The Bollywood retro era is a well loved era for many music lovers, and it also represents a time where music was taken very seriously in Bollywood much more than it is now. I have decided to push the boundaries a little here by including the 1990’s even though some may feel that it doesn’t belong to the same era, but in my opinion it truly does! Especially, as we are seeing a lot of 90’s songs recreated for current Bollywood films today.
