New Music Monday: Love is on the Line and I Rise ft Jack Savoretti and Madonna

This bank holiday Monday, I am sharing two new releases from two of my favourite artists. The first release is the brand new video of Love is on the Line by Jack Savoretti and the second release, is Madonna’s latest song from her brand new album Madame X called I Rise.

Love is on the Line – Singing to Strangers by Jack Savoretti ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

The new release from Jack Savoretti is the second track from his number one silver album Singing to Strangers, and even though Jack is currently on tour with his band, the video of Love is on the Line features many of the highlights from his recent shows in Italy, as well as behind the scene footage.

I always enjoy watching these kind of music videos, as they provide the audience with a greater insight into the life of the artist, and especially as Jack is new discovery for me, I enjoy learning more about him through each new song release. Love is on the Line is a very strong song, both musically and lyrically, and the song talks about the signs of a failing relationship. I am extremely excited to be seeing Jack perform at the SSE Arena Wembley, later in this month, and I shall be sharing my review of the concert here too.

I Rise – Madame X by Madonna ⭐⭐⭐.5 /5

The Queen of Pop Madonna, released the very first single from her new concept style album Madame X, last week. The single Medellín featuring artist Maluma, released with much deserved fanfare and shows an amazing Madonna at 60, wearing the most glamarous of costumes in its music video. As explained in many of her recent interviews, Madonna moved to Lisbon and discovered a different sound and style of music, which she has subsequently incorprorated into her new album. Now, even though Medellín is unfortunately not my kind of music, it has certainly grown on me since its release. Her next release I Rise, definitely is, as the song has empowering lyrics which any female living in the 21st century can relate to and has naturally uplifting vibe to it. I am looking forward to hearing the rest of the tracks on the album, which will be releasing in full on 14th June.
