Hi, I am Jemma and I live in London, UK. I am a complete music lover, a pianist with a Grade 6 in music theory, plus Grade 7 in piano on the ABRSM board. I also have a GCSE in Music. I have a strong passion for music and have also learnt to play the keyboard and the recorder.

In the online world, I have also been a writer and social media manager for the popular Bollywood news website BollySpice for 4 years.

One of the main reasons why I decided to create Jem Girl at the Piano is to bring music lovers of the classic era (the 70s/80s/90s) together. Over the last few years, I have been revisiting music that I have grown up listening to, searching for the sounds that combine music, love and feelings as we sadly don’t get to hear enough of that in today’s current music scene. Through revisiting these songs, I have noticed how so many people are missing songs from the classic era. I am so very happy that many of the artists from this special era have reformed and have come together to make their sound again, and so it is my pleasure to keep supporting them on this musical journey.

Please feel free to leave a comment on any of my blog posts.
