Scottish indie-pop group Mark Sharp & The Bicycle Thieves have announced the details of their highly anticipated debut album Unmask the Circus, set for release on 25 August.

Hailing from West Lothian, the popular five-piece are renowned for their energetic live performances. Full of melodic hooks and spiraling guitar solos, the band’s debut album has been a long time coming and is sure to delight fans and those across the industry.
Speaking about the album, Mark Sharp said: “We’ve been working on this project for years and we’re so buzzing that our fans will finally get the chance to hear what we’ve been up to – We hope they enjoy it as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.”
They have sold out their headline slots at Glasgow venues including King Tuts and St Luke’s, and have also played at festivals including TRNSMT, Tenement Trail, EH6, Party at the Palace and Edinburgh Summer Sessions. They have also performed high-profile support shows for artists including Lewis Capaldi on a 12-date arena tour, as well as The Snuts and Kyle Falconer.
Unmask The Circus follows on from the success of their recently-released singles Big Star, Superman & Last Dance, as well as 2021 release Sink or Swim, which topped the iTunes Rock Chart and peaked at #20 in the main UK Chart.
The band performs a special release show at Bathgate’s Regal Theatre on Saturday 2 September, followed by Edinburgh Cabaret Voltaire on 22 September & Tunnels Aberdeen on 23 September, with London & Manchester headline dates scheduled for Autumn time.
