St Katharine Docks closes out the summer season in style this August Bank Holiday weekend with the St Kat’s Jazz Festival. Three days of live jazz (Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August) with free entry for all, independent food retailers, a full bar, and over 20 world-class musicians performing on Marble Quay.

The lineup brings together legends, award-winners and rising stars from across the globe. Olivia Swann (artist in residence all summer) headlines the festival, featuring throughout the three days. Jazz legends Ian Shaw and Esther Bennet anchor the programming. Award-winning artists Jamie Safir and Louise Balkwill deliver serious musicianship. Angie Pastor flies in from NYC and Mike Harrison from Chicago, bringing international energy to the waterside.
Rising stars Noah Stoneman, Kelly Craige, Grace Sheene, Lauren Bush, Sophya, and more round out the festival. Fraser Urquhart, Inés Nassara, Wura Abimbola, Emmanuel Ayeni, Rupert Cox, Kate Threlfall, and Stephanie Da Silva complete the impressive roster.
After months of programming, careful curation, and meticulous commitment to the craft of jazz, the result is a one-of-a-kind festival with old favourites and new releases perfectly arranged by each artist.
The waterside setting does the rest, with Marble Quay overlooking the marina basin, yachts in the background, and light shifting across the water as evening sets in. Three days where the entire estate transforms into a festival-sized jazz celebration without losing the intimate, sophisticated atmosphere that’s defined St Kat’s Sessions all summer.
On-site dining comes from independent London retailers: The Pizza Club London, Heavy Slice cheesecake, &KAFFEIN coffee, and Bite Me Baby healthy café. A full bar serves iconic British brands and sponsors Nyetimber and Opihr Gin all weekend. Open from 11am each day, with live music 4-8:30pm Friday & 1pm – 8:30pm Sat/Sun.
The Vocal Jam
Sunday evening at 7:00 pm, the festival culminates with an open Vocal Jam on the house band. Want to sing or play? Sign up on Instagram @stkatssessions or register on the day. It’s the perfect finale for anyone wanting to turn the festival into their own live music experience.
