Chandler Marie releases new single Supposed to be Easy this Friday 10th July 2026

Chandler Marie is set to release Supposed To Be Easy on Friday, July 10. The track follows the emotional aftermath of leaving a healthy relationship behind in pursuit of a dream, exploring the heartbreak that comes when two people still love each other but life pulls them in different directions.

The release arrives at a pivotal moment in Chandler’s fast-rising career, offering a vulnerable and inspirational reminder that the people meant to be in your life will support you as your momentum continues to build.

Supposed To Be Easy blends modern country energy with emotional storytelling and warm acoustic textures. Co-written with Chandler’s brother-in-law and lead guitarist Jonathan McLendon, the song explores grief without blame and features lyrics like: “You didn’t cheat on me or bash my name // Break my heart or give me the blame // When you said to go and chase my dreams // It’s supposed to be easy
when you’re the one who does the leaving.” The track sits comfortably alongside artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Carly Pearce, Megan Moroney, Ashley Cooke and Kacey Musgraves.

Speaking about the song, Chandler says: “There are times when you might have more than one dream and you can’t chase both at the same
time, so you have to let one go. This song is a vulnerable exploration of choosing a path, sometimes questioning if you made the right decision, but coming back to the comfort of knowing the important people in your life will support you regardless.”
