If you are a regular reader of the blog, you will be familiar with the artist in my next interview. Not only has she made strides into the country rock genre all by herself, but she has recently released a brand new album Sedona Sunrise! I had a wonderful catch up with singer-songwriter Bronnie who shares her musical journey so far, what life is like for her now after her bg move to Nashville and so much more

Please share your musical journey from the very beginning.
I used to be super shy so my parents tried to get me to join clubs to come out of my shell a bit, so I started doing musical theatre in primary school and it totally changed everything! Then at around age 16 I decided to start songwriting and wanted to be a music artist. A few months later I started posting YouTube covers and quickly got support from the likes of Ryan Seacrest, Tom Fletcher (Mcfly) and Louis Tomlinson (One Direction), left high school and went on tour with the likes of Little Mix! I started growing my fan base and got to tour all over the world and I recently moved to Nashville!
You recently moved to Nashville. How does it feel to be living in Nashville, the heart of country music?
I love it! I’ve always loved America, half of my family live there (Moved in the 1800’s) so there’s lots of family history here! I always feel like I was made to live in the states and getting to live in Nashville is a dream!
You just released your brand new album Sedona Sunrise. Can you share the story behind this release?
I started writing this in lockdown when I was making more alt rock music. I always loved country music and thought I could never do it and pull it off so I started writing country songs as a little passion project, we started playing the songs live and they went down super well so I thought let’s do country rock!
Which track or tracks from the album are you most passionate about?
I’m really excited for everyone to hear Out Of The Blue, it’s the perfect mix of country and rock and 2000’s style that feels unique.
Prior to releasing this album, you had released your EP Chasing the Moon. What are the main differences between the EP and your new album?
I had released a couple of singles from the album and while I was still waiting for the album to be mixed and mastered, I thought I’d put those collective of songs on an EP!
How would you describe your music, to someone who has never heard it before?
So many different things! I would honestly say ‘It’s not fully country but it’s not fully rock but it’s not fully pop but it’s not fully 90’s / 2000’s but it all has those elements in and fits radio and festivals and there’s songs for every emotion and situation!
Who are your musical influences and favourite artists?
I love Alanis Morissette, Lainey Wilson & Rascal Flatts! 90’s, 2000’s influence with feel good live vibes!
Any teasers for your forthcoming projects?
Well… the concept for album 3 has been quite literally mapped out…
I love a good concept album! Here’s looking forward to Bronnie’s next! Thank you so much for your time Bronnie and for all the updates. You can follow Bronnie across all social media platforms and don’t forget to listen to her album ‘Sedona Sunrise’ which is out now!
