Debut Indie Release from MMIV: The Drugs Are Running Out 10/12/21

Hailing from Essex and living in East London, MMIV’s The Drugs Are Running Out is a sad indie ballad in pop song’s clothing.
An ode to turning 22 – and knowing that work is always there in the morning – the song talks about friends entering therapy, moving away from home, and the creeping awareness that youth won’t last forever. The Drugs Are Running Out chronicles the moment that the party is peaking, but also, unfortunately, about to end.
Produced by George Murphy (Drug Store Romeos, The Specials, The Coronas), MMIV take influence from LCD Soundsystem, 80s pop, and Gen X singer-songwriters to forge a debut that leaves you wondering what’s next.
The Drugs Are Running Out is available on streaming services December 10th 2021.
MMIV is the project of songwriter Max Rawdon, who decided to pursue music alone after the difficulty of keeping a band together during the pandemic.
