Anouna has just released her debut album titled By Myself available now on Spotify and Apple Music. This newly released album delves deep into Anouna’s vulnerable and honest thoughts post-breakup, as she navigates through life by herself.

This body of work entirely written by Anouna contains 12 tracks and is an alternative dream built up of deeply personal lyrics, melodies, whistling, and some catchy beats. By Myself is an album that everyone can relate to. Everyone loves, everyone goes through hard times, and Anouna uses the familiarity of these feelings to teach people that they’re not alone, whilst also finding the importance of independence.
By Myself finds the beauty behind the darkness, as Anouna showcases her love for languages with Il M’a Dit, a French tune, and expresses her love for the beach in By the Sea and House of Sand. Anouna’s music reflects her travelling lifestyle, taking influence from the Middle East, North Africa, and the UK (plus she can speak a whopping 7 languages!).
Pulling her inspirations from musicians such as Birdy, Eva Cassidy, and Soap Kills to name a few – Anouna’s talents are endless as she’s played all over the world, from Lebanon to Germany, and has been part of independent music events like Sofar Sounds in Tunisia.
Anouna is no stranger to writing, creating, and singing music. In 2019, she released her first EP titled Sweet Darkness, which consists of 3 songs. In 2016, Anouna’s talents were showcased to the world when she released an incredible song titled Insecurity with verses sung in English, French, Russian, and Arabic.
Anouna describes her music as “a fusion of warm nostalgia and sweet darkness” – and it is most definitely that. Through her piano playing and angelic voice, Anouna makes listeners feel comfortable whilst also tapping their feet along to the beat. So, head over to Spotify or Apple Music now and get tapping!
