String Factory collaborate with DJ Rozwell for St Stephen’s remix

As of this summer, the String Factory debut album Going South is now a year old. To celebrate the occasion, they’ve brought in the legendary electronic musician DJ Rozwell to remix the album track ‘St. Stephen’s’, which will be released as a new single on Tuesday 6th September.

DJ Rozwell’s remix really brings out the anxiety at the heart of the song. The storytelling flow of the track is paired with a menacing industrial backdrop that builds to an aggressive place across the runtime. DJ Rozwell was a perfect fit for the project. As a widely admired producer in the realms of industrial, ambient, breakcore and plunderphonics, his work has a great deal of implied storytelling, and a clear attention to emotive sonic detail. The result is a highly transformative reworking, that emboldens the core ideas of the story in an intuitively felt way.

String Factory is a solo project from Bristol-based singer-songwriter/ producer Dino Brewster. All songs are recorded in the artist’s home studio, and are known for a boldly arranged, Britpop-adjacent, indie rock style.
