Making its debut at Sheffield’s Corporation on Saturday 14th November 2026 – Synthrave Live was born from a simple idea of creating a place where synthwave fans could finally come together and celebrate the music, culture and community they love.
Founded by Shaun Phillips (LeBrock), during the COVID pandemic, a time when connection felt more important than ever, Synthrave was a weekly online DJ set, originally launched as an initiative to raise awareness for mental health. The project quickly highlighted something bigger. Despite a passionate and growing fan-base, there were very few opportunities for synthwave fans to gather, discover new artists and experience the scene together.
Fast forward to 2026 and after an off the cuff, “what if we…” conversation between festival organisers Shaun Phillips, Dan Fox and Connor McGovern, an idea began to take form. Inspired by the welcoming spirit of the community, Synthrave Live set out to create an event that was more than just a concert. Synthrave is designed as a celebration of retro-futurist culture, bringing together live music, nostalgia, friendship and shared experiences under one roof.
Synthrave Live (Volume 1) welcomes artists from across the UK and Europe. The line-up includes Waveshaper, LeBrock, Wolfclub, New Arcades, Nightstop, Skyracer, Ace Buchannan and 80’s Stallone with more to be announced. From cinematic outrun and synth-pop to synth-rock and retro-inspired anthems, the festival showcases the breadth and diversity of modern synthwave. Alongside a full day of live performances and DJs, attendees can enjoy retro arcade machines, 80s cosplay, vendors and immersive experiences that celebrate the films, games and music that inspired a generation.
At its heart, Synthrave Live is about belonging. It’s a place for fans who grew up with the sounds and aesthetics of the 80s, as well as a new generation discovering them for the first time. A place where online friendships become real-world connections. A place where a niche scene finally gets the celebration it deserves.
