Single Review: The Mouse and The Lion by Feralman

I’m happy to start the new year with a review of an upcoming single by Feralman. Feralman is a cinematic indie-folk artist that I had the pleasure of discovering last year and I have become fond of his music, ever since. Regular readers will know that I have reviewed his previous singles which will appear on his album titled Allegories. You can also Get to Know him here. I also highly recommend listening to Feralman’s previous releases to which include Believe and Golden Canary.

Caitlin Mae is set to release her new single titled Fiona

Fiona has got to be one of Caitlin Mae’s lyrically and sonically deepest songs yet. Instrumentally, the track delves into the world of synth and pop whilst her smooth sounding vocals scream modern country as they always have. The song’s theme speaks for itself, a homage to anyone and everyone who has ever felt alone. A powerful line in the chorus, “My Princess tower taller than Fiona’s”, is suggestive of a difficult past with a long road to happiness ahead of her.

Irish singer Lisa Murray releases powerful song Woman in a World

“It made me feel really unsafe and angry that my safety cannot be guaranteed because of my gender.”

Pop singer and devout feminist Lisa Murray pours emotion into hard-hitting new release Woman in a World motivated by a spate of violence against women in the UK and Ireland, followed quickly by the overturning of Roe vs. Wade in the USA. All proceeds from Woman in a World will be donated to Women’s Aid, Ireland.
