December 28, 2021, Vancouver – Indie rock collective Bent Roads Tavern have released ‘Every Intention’, an ethereal, driving electronica-indie rock track with a grounded message.
“We wanted the atmosphere of this track to switch abruptly between contraction and expansion” says Middleton, adding, “this track is about loss and recovery of self in the aftermath of trauma and upheaval. If this song gives comfort to people struggling with change and uncertainty, it will have been worth the trouble of putting it out there.”
This track is the latest instalment in the lead up to their debut studio album, Clear Nights. Brite Lites. planned to release in 2022 through their indie label, Snow Monster Records. Their recent releases have caught the attention of CBC Listen, FYI Music News, Roots Music Canada, That Eric Alper, Tinnitist, Canadian Beats, Dropout, The Wire, The Typescript, CTV News, among other Canadiana music blogs, playlisters and magazines.
